Choose Stridekick if…

Stridekick is a challenge builder. Based on its own site, it fits best when:

  • You want to pick the format: a race, a streak, a target or a custom activity.
  • Your group uses many different wearables.
  • You want a group fundraiser for a charity.
  • You are running a corporate challenge or a big group event.

Choose Walk & Water if…

Walk & Water has one format, so there is nothing to set up. It fits best when:

  • You want to join a round this week without designing a challenge.
  • You want a small team of two to four that ranks on its average.
  • You want water to count next to your steps.
  • You want Coach Josh walking the same round and answering Chat with Coach himself.

Can you use both?

Often, yes. Walk & Water reads steps from Apple Health or Health Connect. If your other app shares with the same health hub, the same walk can count in both, and you don’t need the two apps to connect to each other. Check how your watch shares steps before you start.

Walk it with a team this week

Join a team of 2–4, walk & drink your water Tuesday to Thursday, and see the winners Friday.

I’m Josh. I built Get Your BMR so you could see what your body burns at rest, & I built Walk & Water so you’d have somewhere to use it with people who notice when you show up.

I walk every round too: same board, same three days, on my own team. I don’t always win. Tap Chat with Coach in the app & it’s me who answers.
