Why walking and water together?
Both are small, daily and easy to check. Pairing them gives you two chances to win the day: even on a day the walk is short, the water can still happen.
How teams of 2–4 work
A team is two to four people: a friend’s team, your own, or one you join in the app. It gets a name, a crest and a spot on the live leaderboard, and a team chat for the nudge when someone goes quiet.
iPhone and Android friends can be on the same team. Steps come from Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, and each glass of water is one tap.
How the leaderboard works
Your steps and your glasses both show on the board, and solo, team and global rankings update through the round. Your team ranks on its average per woman, not its total, so a team of two can beat a team of four and every walker’s day counts the same.
Friday winners
The board closes Thursday at midnight, Arizona time. Friday morning the results go up: the winning team’s card glows gold and badges land beside names on the board. A new round starts the next Tuesday, so a team that finishes can stay together.
How much water?
There is no one number for everyone. The National Academies set an adequate intake of about 2.7 liters of total water a day for women, and that includes water from food, which supplies about a fifth of the total. Needs change with health, climate, medication and activity, so set a goal that suits you.
