Give coworkers a challenge they can finish, not another portal.

Short answer

A workplace walking challenge works when it is short and social. This free kit runs the 3-Day Walk & Water Challenge for your coworkers: they form teams of two to four, walk and drink water Tuesday to Thursday, and see winners Friday. You get a link, a QR code and announcement copy.

The short version

  • No employee list upload
  • No automatic email or outreach
  • No health or wearable data used for acquisition

Why three days works at work

A three-day round fits inside one work week, and the Friday winners give you something easy to celebrate in a meeting or a group message.

Privacy by design

You never upload an employee list. People join from your link or QR code, form their own teams, and the kit never messages anyone for you. Inside the app, people see the leaderboard (with each walker’s profile), their team chat and the community chat, the same as in any round.

Fair for every fitness level

Goals are personal, and teams rank on their average per person, so a team of two can beat a team of four. That keeps the challenge fun for the person who walks 4,000 steps and the one who walks 14,000.

How to set up a step challenge at work

Five steps for the organizer:

  • Pick the week. Rounds run Tuesday to Thursday, so announce it the week before.
  • Share one link or QR code in a channel you already use. There is no employee list to upload.
  • Let people form teams of two to four, or mix departments on purpose.
  • Remind everyone on Thursday afternoon: the board closes Thursday at midnight, Arizona time.
  • Celebrate the Friday winners and everyone who finished, then ask who wants the next round.

The 3-Day Walk & Water Challenge

How a round works

  1. 1. Join a team

Two to four of you on one team: a friend’s, your own, or one you join in the app. Your team gets a name, a crest & a spot on the live leaderboard.

  2. 2. Walk + water, 3 days

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. A step goal & a water goal sized to where you are today. The board updates as you walk & closes Thursday at midnight, Arizona time.

  3. 3. Friday winners

Friday morning the results go up. The winning team’s card glows gold, badges land beside names on the board, and a new round starts Tuesday.

Bigger isn’t better. Teams rank on their AVERAGE.

A team’s score is its average per woman, not its total. So two friends can beat a team of four, and every walker’s day counts the same. When one of you goes quiet, the others notice & send a nudge in team chat.

Your team card. The big number is the average per woman.

A five-message workplace launch

One announcement, three short daily reminders & one Friday wrap-up. The self-service kit makes the link & QR code.

  1. Announce the two habits

Walk & water for three days, in teams of two to four, with personal goals.

  2. Share the QR code

Post it in an approved channel, a break room or your wellness page.

  3. Celebrate on Friday

Share the Friday results & thank everyone who finished, not just the top team.

I’m Josh. I built Get Your BMR so you could see what your body burns at rest, & I built Walk & Water so you’d have somewhere to use it with people who notice when you show up.

I walk every round too: same board, same three days, on my own team. I don’t always win. Tap Chat with Coach in the app & it’s me who answers.
